Okay...so Ive been friends with the Zapien's for a few years thru my friends Liz and Loni...one day as I was on that social networking site, you may have heard of FACEBOOK ...I saw a post by Alex's mom Anna about her daughter singing...Im thinking I had no idea...everytime I see her she just sits on the couch with her brother or sister listening to their Ipods or they text...LET ME TELL YOU....THIS GIRL IS AMAZING! She is currently doing vocal lessons with a friend of mine that works directly with Jordin Sparks mother with PunchMonkey.  Hopefully we will see her with her debut CD soon!

Unity and Community

Ugh...sometimes I wish Church could be at 7pm!  Service starts at 9:30...and at 9 I was still in bed...but I made it...I love the 930 service more than the 8 and 11...not sure why...I went by myself today and sat by myself...I thought today I needed the space so I wasn't distracted by the normal small chat I make with my friend during the service, or the distraction of watching her daughter play in her seat...and today's message was Unity and Community...Oh...so I start scooching towards the other members...LOL...


We had a guest pastor Tom Chapin from San Diego that was incredibly inspiring.  (Our pastor is away on sabbatical for 7 weeks-- Its funny as I'm "friends" with the pastor on FB so I see his status updates and photo uploads from his iPhone all the time.)  Church sure is different from what I could remember from the few times in my youth of going...hard pews, a choir with long daunting robes, a priest citing scripture and being bored.  That's why I love this church...the pastor is hip, funny, the seats are cushioned and the stage is in beautiful hues of blue that look like the moon's light is reflecting on the ocean waters. There are beautiful rugs, lamps and luminaries of bright colors on the stage that make it very welcoming...only thing I don't like is all the standing, but if feels wrong to sit while everyone is swinging their hips, tapping their feet and clapping their hands as they sing along.  So I stand... = )  


Oh so the message...about Unity and Community...what I pulled from the message today was mending a broken relationship.  And while the relationship that came to mind that is newly broken, I still felt as a person who is trying to build a relationship with God and be a better person, needed to reach out and apologize.  So I started to write during the service on the tithing envelope what I wanted to say...in short, it was two sentences...and I apologized  for not being gracious and hateful, ending it with best wishes...I told my sister I wasn't sure if it was my conscious that was making me feel this way, and she reassured me it was God talking to me.  I liked that.  So the message was sent, and I honestly feel better...so I ask you..what relationship can you mend, whether it is an ex, a working relationship, neighbor or family member? Maybe reaching out and attempting to mend that relationship will make things better for you in however it is meant to be better. Just do it for the right reasons. 


So I see why Church is now in the morning~it allows my Sunday to be great all day!

Tuesday Morning on Friday evening!

So thanks to my wonderful sister Amy ( =...she told me about this little store called Tuesday Morning...which in hindsight I think I have actually heard of, but couldn't recall at the time. So I drive over there yesterday to buy a vase. Just a vase people! Its like going into Target thinking you are just going to get that one thing you needed! Ugh...So I walk in...and I'm like a kid in a candy shop! Things are sparkling...catching my eye...I don't know where to go first! My sister texts me..."did you find anything?" Ugh...duh...of course I found things...lots of things, candles, soaps, blankets, flowers, clocks, pictures, pillows, lotions, jewelry...OMG I'm in H E A V E N!  I'm finding things I didn't even know I needed! Curses sister...but do I really need these Egyptian cotton sheets made in Italy that feel as soft as a newborn baby's butt? Y E S!!! or 4 antique seltzer bottles, that serve absolutely no purpose but to sit there and be looked at?  But how do I resist...its buy one clearance item and get the other at 50% off!!!  Its so cheap! Curses to my mother for making me like this! I know I got it from her! It would be so cute right there in this space on the counter...OH BOY!

goooooo TMOBILE!!!! they made a bad week better!

Sooooo outside of fall cleaning...which was heavenly I might say, minus the going up and down stairs in a 3 story condo...my cell phone came up missing...was I fall cleaning too much?!? Nah!!!!, I think it grew legs and walked away into someones pocket...but thats for them to take with them, (Karma will get em!)..Anywho...I reactivated my old cell, which was no problem, since all my contact information saves to my Gmail account, thanks to having had a GoOgLe phone!!.  So anyway...I called Tmobile to basically see what they could do for their loyal customer about her BRAND NEW PHONE THAT WAS STOLEN (like less than a dang week!). So the rep sent me to their Loyalty Department...which I didnt even know they had...but the guy was wonderful...he let me get another phone at the same price, not so great, but better than $500 bux for a new one, and made sure I put the insurance back on my phone (this will be relevant later on). So while Im using the old phone later that night, it literally decides to go crazy on me!  It decides to go into what I have never seen before in all my cell phone ownership years... "safe mode" (like on your dang computer! grrrrr)...so being that I have all my contacts on my gmail account, (lucky me) I was able to use my house phone to continue to talk to my new friend Corey, which is irrelevant in all of this, but he's a great guy so Ill give him some props, whoot whoot! Back to my love of Tmobile...I decide that after we hang up at about 11pm...I decide to call them again to see if they can revive my phone. I told the tech rep that I needed someone to make my day, it was pretty bad, actually the week, and I needed someone to give me a break. Well after being on the phone with technical support for 55 minutes, and absolulely no luck with getting my phone out of safe mode, the end result was, with me so kindly reminding the rep that I needed something to go my way really and she had 5 minutes to make a bad day better (11:55pm)...dRuM RoLl PlEaSe...., Im getting a brand NEW phone for FREE,  B E C A U S E.....I had the insurance on my account!!!! WHAT??? nO FlIPpInG WaY!!!!!!!! I just started laughing! Because Im smarter than I realize sometimes...my having placed the insurance back on my account earlier that day with the Loyalty Department Rep with my old reactivated phone covered the phone completely!  ReAlY?????  OH MY...  So that brand NEW phone being expressed mailed to me FREE will be here probably the same time as my new replacement G2! Now Im going to have 2 brand new phones!!! what to do? What to do!!! So the point of this story is: 1) most importantly never leave your important brand new cell phone on the counter while you have someone in the house that is vindictive 2) always keep insurance on your account and 3) cry on the phone and ask someone for help and give them your sad little sob story so they feel bad for you and will help you out!  LoL Im having a wonderful day already today!
