Okay so we know how many of us become annoyed with the misuse of their, there and they're...it's visually and grammatically painful sometimes the way they are used incorrectly...so that aside...I'm here to tell you, that when I hear people say "I textED my friend..." it's like nails on a chalk board! Do you say I workED, stoppED, walkED???...NO!!! So why do people insist on saying texted...its TEXTed the ed just blends into the T. I know it seems like you're not using the proper tense as the T and the ED kinda roll together, but really its texted.
